BM14 is a state-of-the-art bending magnet beamline for exploiting anomalous scattering methods in macromolecular structure determination. The beamline is dedicated to MAD/SAD macromolecular crystallography (MX) experiments. BM14 has an optical design suited to the rapid and accurate energy change between 7-17 keV which covers the most of the commonly used absorption edges of heavy atoms. In addition, BM14 offers excellent facilities for users including sample preparation laboratory and computing resources.
